The invisible lines we draw around ourselves to safeguard our mental, emotional, and physical space are called boundaries. They establish boundaries for our personal behaviour and self-care routines, as well as what is appropriate and inappropriate in our relationships with other people. Setting and enforcing boundaries is crucial for fostering positive interactions and settings while also assisting us in maintaining our feeling of autonomy, self-respect, and personal integrity.

Defending Your Health: The Importance of Limitations in Self-Care
In order to safeguard our welfare and help us prioritise our own needs, boundaries are essential to self-care. We can avoid burnout, lessen stress, and make time for rest and renewal by establishing clear limits with regard to our time, energy, and resources. Setting boundaries also gives us the ability to refuse people or circumstances that deplete us or violate our morals, freeing us up to concentrate on the things that really matter and make us happy.
